Technorati Profile rbkub9iyyr I started facing this problem since a week ago. Whenever i tried to upload images via the Post/Page section, Firefox crashed! Do note that this was not the case while trying to upload images trough the media panel - that worked perfectly as it should.

I tried restarting firefox and installing new wordpress blogs locally, but the problem was still here.

The solution

Is very simple. It is a conflict caused by the Google Gears Firefox plugin and Wordpress.

While your firefox browser is on, click on Tools and then Add Ons. Select Google Gears addon and disable it. 99% of the time this will fix your problem.

Oh do note that you will need to restart Firefox after disabling the plugin so the problem will stop.

Alternatively, if you don’t want to disable Google Gears plugin, you can always use Google Chrome or any other browsers for writing your posts.
